If Tierney started, we probs just bring on Eddie and Vieira and the latter wouldโve had more than 7 mins lol. Both were poor anyway but we donโt have tons of reliable options off the bench, we really donโt need a LB to be an offensive change. Also our use of width was terrible.
Not really, the only difference was Tierney played high and wide more because itโs one of his strengths. But he tucked into the pivot in build-up a few times and was even seen in the left half-space like Zinchenko. The LHS fluidity looked better than it did on Sunday..
Itโs obvious Tierney wonโt come into the team until he puts some work in on the training ground, Arteta wants a LB that can come into the midfield. Tomiyasu did that today..

Why am I seeing people moaning about Tomiyasu starting at LB?? Yes I feel for Tierney but in Toni we have one of the best at keeping a player quiet, Salah & Gakpo etc! Trust the process & trust Arteta #COYG.

I seriously prefer Kieran Tierney at LB instead of Tomiyasu simply because KT goes forward a lot more than Tomiyasu.

Obviously the trio of Tierney. Nketiah. Vieira were not just impactful today . They failed to give the team the needed push . Our conversion rate needs urgent attention IMO. Our inability to put game to bed with chances created is our biggest concern for now. Better luck guys..
